Ukraine is incredible and has dozens of unique places where nature and architecture can amaze you. Every region has something remarkable. Here is a small selection:

Carpathian Mountains: This vast area in the western part of the country encompasses the Ukrainian Carpathians, the Carpathian Foothills, and Transcarpathia, offering numerous interesting places for tourists. First and foremost, the mountains impress with their beauty and landscapes. In the Carpathian Foothills and Transcarpathia, there are plenty of spa resorts, including those with thermal water and mineral springs. Popular destinations for relaxation include Bukovel, Yaremche, Berehove, Solotvyno, Skhidnytsia, Shayan, and others. Notable places of interest include Lake Synevir, Svidovetskyi Ridge, Vukhatyi Kamin Mountain, Dovbush Rocks, Dzembronia, Dragobrat Waterfall, and Lake Hereshka, Nesamovite Lake, and Shypit Waterfall, among others.

Castles and fortresses: Among the marvelous ancient monuments, the Kamianets-Podilskyi Fortress stands out, as well as the rock city-fortress Tustan (in Urych, Lviv Oblast), Medzhybizh Castle (in Medzhybizh, Khmelnytskyi Oblast), Lubart's Castle (in Lutsk, Volyn Oblast), Akkerman Fortress (in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, Odessa Oblast), Palanok Castle (in Mukachevo, Zakarpattia Oblast), Khotyn Fortress (in Khotyn, Chernivtsi Oblast), Olesko Castle (in Olesko, Lviv Oblast), Zolochiv Castle (in Zolochiv, Lviv Oblast), Pidhirtsi Castle (in Pidhirtsi, Lviv Oblast), and more. All of them impress with their architecture and are surrounded by numerous legends.

Canyons: Canyons are a special group of natural wonders in Ukraine, and they are so diverse that everyone can find their favorite. For example, on the border of Vinnytsia and Cherkasy Oblasts, there is the Butskyi Skelnyi Canyon on the Hirs'kyi Tikych River. It stretches for 5 km, with a maximum depth of 20 meters and a width ranging from 20 to 80 meters. In the territory of three districts in the Khmelnytskyi Oblast, there is the Podilski Tovtry National Nature Park. Interestingly, only the United States (Grand Canyon) and the United Kingdom (Yosemite) have similar relief formations based on their geological structure. In the Mykolaiv Oblast, there is a "younger brother" of the American natural wonder, the Great Canyon of Colorado – the Aktovskyi Canyon. With its otherworldly landscape and a river with a high concentration of hydrogen sulfide, the Aktovskyi Canyon has earned the name "Valley of the Devil." The longest canyon in Ukraine is the Dniester Canyon, which spans four oblasts and stretches for 250 km. The canyons of Zhytomyr Oblast are also interesting to visit, where you can find natural wonders like the Teteryve Canyon and man-made ones like the Granite Canyon near Korostyshiv.

Caves: They are probably the most mysterious places on the planet. In Ukraine, this type of tourism is represented by locations to suit every taste. Take, for example, the Optimistic Cave, located near the village of Korolivka in the Ternopil Oblast. Few people know that it is the longest gypsum cave in the world, stretching almost 260 km! Scientists from all over the world come here to explore its endless mazes, underground lakes, and mineral formations. Another highlight is the Marble Cave located in Crimea. It is unique for its beauty with a complex system of halls and galleries. The abundance of stalactites and stalagmites is particularly impressive here. You won't believe it, but Ukraine has its own Atlantis. It's the Atlantyda Cave in the Khmelnytskyi Oblast. It is adorned with stalactites and stalagmites that shimmer in various colors when exposed to light. The cave does not have equipped routes, so visiting requires special equipment and good physical condition. Another wonder is the Crystal Cave (Kryvche, Ternopil Oblast). The peculiarity of this cave is the increased ionization of the air and water, and the absolute absence of pathogenic organisms (viruses). Recently, mineral bog mud and water were discovered here. Therefore, in the near future, the cave may be transformed into a health center.

Nature and architecture: If you prefer something more comprehensive and spacious, it is worth visiting the Askania-Nova Biosphere Reserve in the Kherson Oblast. It is the oldest steppe reserve in the world and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Ukraine, home to zebras, antelopes, bison, buffalo, deer, and wild horses. Almost next to the reserve is a part of the Sahara - the Oleshky Sands (Oleshki). It is a sandy massif that researchers call a semi-desert, a unique natural zone in southern Ukraine where you can see rare plant species and unusual landscapes for our country. For those who prefer parks, one option is the Sofiyivka National Dendrological Park in Uman (Cherkasy Oblast) or "Alexandria" in Bila Tserkva. If you want to get closer to folk customs and way of life, then the National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Ukraine in Pyrogovo near Kyiv is perfect, where you can see various corners of Ukraine as they looked several centuries ago. Even this incomplete list of everything you can see in Ukraine testifies to the countless interesting and picturesque places. So, to see caves, canyons, pink lakes, and enormous cliffs, you don't need to travel abroad; it's worth exploring Ukraine.
